Over-Ex & Soil Stabilization

Removing bad dirt and compacting structural fill.

About This Service

Sometimes the ground you own isn't the ground you can build on. Collapsible soils and expansive clays will destroy a foundation. We perform mass over-excavation—digging out the bad dirt—and replace it with imported structural fill or moisture-conditioned native soils, compacted in lifts with heavy sheepsfoot rollers to create an unyielding base.

At Roxor South, we don't cut corners on the dirt work. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right. We bring the heavy iron needed to tackle Southern Utah's demanding conditions, and the operator experience to leave the site exactly how the next contractor needs it.

What We Typically Include

  • Mass removal of unsuitable native soils
  • Moisture conditioning of dirt
  • Import of engineered structural fill
  • Placement in controlled lifts (layers)
  • Heavy machine compaction (sheepsfoot/vibratory)
  • Coordination with geotechnical engineers
